THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Scattered to numerous showers and storms will develop this
afternoon and evening. Initial development will be along the coast
with the developing east coast sea breeze early this afternoon,
with this activity increasing in coverage across the interior
through mid afternoon and early evening. Some stronger storms will
be possible, producing frequent lightning strikes, gusty winds to
40 to 50 mph and locally heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches.

.EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
Highs in the low to mid 90s and humid conditions will produce
peak heat index values of 103 to 107 this afternoon. This will
lead to a Moderate to Major Heat Risk across the area today. Those
spending extended periods of time outside are encouraged to
protect themselves from the sun and the heat by taking frequent
breaks in the shade or an air conditioned building and remaining
well hydrated.

.RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT...
A Moderate Risk of rip currents will exist at all east central
Florida beaches today. Always swim near a lifeguard and never enter
the ocean alone.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
Scattered to numerous lightning storms will be possible each
afternoon and evening through the weekend and into early next
week. Greatest coverage will be across the interior where boundary
collisions between the sea breeze and outflow boundaries are
forecast to occur. Storms will be capable of producing frequent
lightning strikes, gusty winds, and locally heavy rainfall.

Increased humidity may lead to heat indices of 105 to 109 Saturday
and Sunday, producing a Major to localized Extreme Heat Risk.
Heat Advisories may be needed for portions of the area. Increased
clouds and rain chances early next week will allow heat concerns
to abate.

At least a Moderate risk of dangerous rip currents will continue at
area beaches into the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight.
