Scattered to numerous lightning storms are forecast through this weekend with the higher chance on Saturday (50-80%), particularly near the I-4 corridor by late afternoon and early evening. Heat will remain a distinct concern each afternoon for those working outdoors; maximum heat index readings of 103 to 109 are forecast. Light S/SE winds will pick up to 10-15 mph near the coast in the afternoon as the sea breeze forms. RH minima will remain 50% or higher each afternoon, and dispersion will become good. Fog potential and other remarks... widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
