...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CRAVEN...SOUTH
CENTRAL PAMLICO AND CENTRAL CARTERET COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM EDT...

At 329 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Minnesott Beach Ferry to near Broad Creek.
Movement was east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Havelock, Morehead City, Newport, Harkers Island, South River, North
River, Merrimon, Straits, Pine Knoll Shores, Harlowe, Otway, Great
Neck, Wildwood, Open Grounds Farm, North Harlowe, Bettie, Cherry
Branch Ferry Terminal, Michael J Smith Airport, Minnesott Beach
Ferry, and Oceana Pier.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
