Thunderstorms: A few isolated thunderstorms could still develop over the area, including the local waters, this evening. The strongest storms could contain wind gusts up to 40 mph, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will be possible through the weekend and into early next week. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Slow storm motions could result in localized flooding, particularly near the metro areas. Heat indices over 100 degrees, up to around 110 degrees, are likely through the weekend and into early next week. This may prompt the issuance of heat advisories through this period.
