Persistent northwest flow aloft wl keep a somewhat unsettled wx
pattern acrs much of the FA the next few days. Cont to monitor an
area of sctd convection acrs central OK early this mrng, assocd
with the first of several upper impulses that wl traverse the
region thru Mon. There is still some differences regarding model
timing and areal coverage with each round of precip.

The activity to the west wl cont working eastward into western AR
later this mrng. Model trends cont to support the activity
diminishing later today acrs central AR. After a lull, the next
round of convection wl affect the north half of the FA later tngt
into Mon. Locally heavy rainfall wl rmn a concern, mainly acrs
n-cntrl AR.

The effects of cloud cover/rainfall coverage wl be evident regarding
fcst high temps the next two days. Highs acrs north AR today wl be
in the mid 70s to lower 80s, with lower and mid 80s common Mon aftn.
Readings elsewhere wl be in the 80s today and top out in the lower
and mid 90s Mon. Nighttime lows wl range fm the mid 60s to the lower
70s.

(Tuesday through Saturday)

An upper ridge will be over the southern U.S. to begin the long term
period with an upper trough over the east. The upper ridge will
build into the Plains Wednesday. An upper trough enters the upper
Midwest Thursday and moves east through the end of the period.
Ridging also builds into the west Thursday through Saturday.

A warm front will move northeast through Arkansas Tuesday and
Wednesday. This will bring hot temperatures back into Arkansas.
Chances for showers and thunderstorms will be in the north to begin
the period. Rain chances move into central sections Friday and
Saturday as a cold front moves into the state.

Above normal temperatures are expected through most of the period.
Dew points will climb into the mid 70s. High humidity should lead to
some heat headlines during this coming week.

VFR conds are expected to continue thru much of the fcst PD as
abundant mid and high lvl clouds persists. Sctd showers/few storms
are expected to incrs in coverage to our west thru the early mrng
hrs. Some of this activity could affect the northern and western
fcst sites after daybreak, with MVFR conds expected at times.
Looking at a lull in rainfall coverage later today.
