733 FZUS63 KMQT 151941 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 341 PM EDT Thu Aug 15 2024 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...Lake Superior is currently between a 30.0 inch high over the Lower Great Lakes and a 29.7 inch low over northern Minnesota. While the high continues to shift east over the Atlantic Coast tonight, the low will move over the Upper Great Lakes region by Friday. The low will maintain 29.7 inches as it slides over the Michigan Lower Peninsula Saturday morning and over the Lower Great Lakes Sunday morning. In it`s wake, weak ridging of 30.0 inches moves back over Lake Superior by Sunday, building to near 30.2 inches Monday. The 30.2 inch ridge remains until Tuesday.
