...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CHERRY COUNTY
THROUGH 715 PM CDT...

At 641 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 23
miles north of Whitman, or 36 miles northwest of Mullen, moving
southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Round Lake, Whitman Road crossing the North Branch of the Middle Loup
River, and Hire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
north central Nebraska.
