At 641 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 23 miles north of Whitman, or 36 miles northwest of Mullen, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Round Lake, Whitman Road crossing the North Branch of the Middle Loup River, and Hire. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
