...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN PERKINS...
NORTHEASTERN CHASE...SOUTHWESTERN LINCOLN AND NORTHERN HAYES COUNTIES
THROUGH 815 PM CDT/715 PM MDT/...

At 728 PM CDT/628 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Elsie, or 23 miles east of Grant, moving south at
15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hayes Center, Wallace, Elsie, and Grainton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT/1100
PM MDT/ for southwestern Nebraska.
