.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 923 PM EDT Thu Jul 3 2025

Persistent troughing over the eastern United States has resulted
in the formation of a weak low centered over northern Florida.
This has helped to keep an Atlantic ridge displaced eastward of
our area and resulting in light and varying breezes across the
Keys. The Keys are just within the lower level cyclonic flow
around the developing low. this has resulted in very moist
conditions with this evenings sounding indicated 2.21 inches of
precipitable water. In addition, weak confluence has moved in
through the lower levels. However, surface forcing is quite
limited. After an afternoon of reverse island cloud lines,
activity has diminished significantly.

Winds will remain quite light through the overnight period with a
col remaining roughly in the Florida Straits. Deep layered
moisture and lower level troughing will remain across our area.
With that said, the weak surface kinematics and lack of upper
level support should help to keep PoPs in the chance range. Expect
overnight lows broadly in the lower 80s with dew points in the
mid 70s.

.MARINE...
Issued at 923 PM EDT Thu Jul 3 2025

The combination of a weak low centered over northern Florida and
the Atlantic ridge off to the east will result in light breezes
across Keys waters overnight. Most waters will see winds back from
westerly to southwesterly. More variability is expected over the
Florida Straits.
