...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to continue to cause river levels to
rise rapidly on the Tennessee River at Florence. Although it is not
expected to reach flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands may
still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river could still
reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 11:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.2 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a stage of 17.7 feet early
  Wednesday afternoon then begin to fall, falling to 16.5 feet
  Thursday evening. River levels will fluctuate a bit through Friday,
  but eventually rise to a stage of 16.7 feet early Saturday morning.
  Following this, levels are forecast to gradually fall and remain
  below flood stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
