...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Tennessee River at Florence. Although it is not
expected to reach flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands may
still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river could still
reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 1:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.7 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 17.1 feet this evening. It will
  then fall to 16.5 feet tomorrow evening. It will rise to 16.6 feet
  early Friday morning. It will then fall to 16.5 feet Friday
  morning. It will rise to 16.7 feet early Saturday morning. It will
  then fall again and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
