...River Statement For The Flint River at Brownsboro...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Flint River. Although it is not expected to reach
flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands may still occur. If
additional rainfall occurs, the river could still reach Flood Stage.

The Flint River at Brownsboro.
* At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 15.2 feet.
* Action stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to rise to 15.6 feet just after
  midnight tonight. River levels are then expected to fluctuate
  between 15.3 and 15.5 feet through Saturday morning. The river will
  then begin to fall, falling to a stage of 13.1 feet Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Water begins to flood the downstream left
  bank.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
