193 FNUS54 KHUN 140901 FWFHUN Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama National Weather Service Huntsville AL 401 AM CDT Sun Jul 14 2024 .DISCUSSION... Dangerous heat is forecast through mid week along with daily chances of showers/storms. Today, low chances of showers are forecast (30% or less) with threats of lightning, gusty to damaging winds, and a very low chance of wetting rains. RH values are forecast to drop into the 35-40% range. Monday, low-medium chances of showers/storms (30-40%) are possible with threats of lightning, gusty winds, and moderate to heavy rainfall. While wetting rains are not officially forecast, due to the variability in location and strengths of these pop up showers, there is a very low chance of wetting rains. Transport winds should remain light (under 7 mph) both days with high mixing heights (7000ft+), allowing for fair dispersions. Fog potential over the next few days: Low chance of patchy fog this morning as well as Monday morning. Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time due to winds remaining calm and RH values remaining above threshold.
