...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN WICHITA AND
SOUTHEASTERN LOGAN COUNTIES THROUGH 930 AM CDT...

At 901 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles south of Russell Springs, or 16 miles west of Scott State Lake,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Wichita and southeastern Logan Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
