...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL SAN JUAN COUNTY
THROUGH 615 PM MDT...

At 545 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles east of Canyonlands National Park, or 17 miles southwest of
Moab, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Moab and Spanish Valley.

This includes U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 105 and
124.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
