...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN GARFIELD COUNTY
THROUGH 430 PM MDT...

At 353 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 21
miles north of Fruita, or 27 miles northwest of Grand Junction,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern
Garfield County.

This includes Colorado 139 between mile markers 14 and 25.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
