...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following
  county, San Miguel.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas
  along Highway 145 from Placerville to Telluride. Water over
  roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 357 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 0.4 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Areas along Highway 145 between Placerville and Telluride is
    the most likely place to experience minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Telluride, Mountain Village, Sawpit and Fall Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
