...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 AM MDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall over the Pine Gulch fire scar is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Colorado, including
  the following counties, in northwest Colorado, Garfield. In west
  central Colorado, Mesa.

* WHEN...Until 415 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1110 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.6 and 1 inch of rain has fallen over 15
    minutes. Expect normally dry washes to run for the next few
    hours.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Adobe Creek, Coyote Wash, Dry Gulch, Layton Wash, Lipan Wash,
    Corcoran Wash, Coal Gulch, Little Salt Wash, Middle Dry Fork,
    South Dry Fork, Colorado River, Reed Wash, Big Salt Wash,
    Jerry Creek and Mack Wash.
    Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Fruita.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
