...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT YAVAPAI AND COCONINO COUNTIES
NEAR RIMROCK THROUGH 415 PM MST...

At 341 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Bell Crossing/The Crack, or 12 miles northeast of Camp Verde, moving
north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Village of Oak Creek, Munds Mountain Wilderness, Wet Beaver
Wilderness, Apache Maid Mountain, Bell Rock, Rimrock Airport,
Montezuma Well, Crane Petroglyph Heritage Site, Rimrock, Bell
Crossing/The Crack, Lawrence Crossing, Lake Montezuma, Indian Maiden
Falls, and Montezuma Castle National Monument.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 17 between mile markers 295 and 313.
 State Route 179 between mile markers 299 and 308.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
