...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt affecting Humboldt County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Humboldt, or from Joe
  Reasoner Dam to the East Fork Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The Murray bridge is closed west of
  Rutland. Sandbagging occurs at the water treatment plant.
  Groundwater threatens the pump room at the water plant.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Sunday evening and continue falling to 9.5 feet Tuesday, July
    16.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    12.2 feet on 06/23/1947.
