Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
518 PM EDT Mon Jul 7 2025

A cold front dropping across PA this evening and tonight will
create numerous showers and thunderstorms primarily over the
northwestern half of the state. Some storms may produce heavy rain
and gusty winds. The storms will weaken and dissipate tonight
with not many left after midnight. Low temperatures tonight will
range from the mid 60s in the northwest to mid 70s in the
southeast.

The slow moving cold front will trigger additional showers and
storms on Tuesday over the southeastern half of the state as it
interacts with very warm air and lingering tropical moisture. The
front will stall out, then meander across southern Pennsylvania
or northern Virginia Tuesday night through the end of the week,
bringing daily chances of a few showers or an afternoon
thunderstorm.

Temperatures will stay seasonably warm for early July with
afternoon highs mainly in the 80s statewide. Some locations across
the Lower Susquehanna Valley and southeastern PA could reach the
low 90s on Tuesday.
