Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1024 AM EDT Sat Aug 17 2024

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue
progressing northeastward this morning, with more numerous showers
and storms firing up later today and early tonight. Some of these
storms will produce localized heavy rainfall and could lead to
flooding, mainly in the central mountains. Some of the strongest
thunderstorms could also produce gusty winds.

Showers and storms are expected again on Sunday and into Sunday
night. As more rain falls, the possibility of flooding rises
throughout weekend. So, Sunday will likely hold a higher chance
for flooding to occur across a wider area compared to today.

High temperatures today will range from the lower 70s across the
eastern and central Pennsylvania to the and mid-80s across western
Pennsylvania. Low temperatures overnight into Sunday will range
from the lower 60s across northern Pennsylvania to upper 60s
across the southeast. High temperatures on Sunday will range from
the lower 70s to the lower 80s.

Lingering showers and thunderstorms remain on Monday before drier
weather is expected on Tuesday and through the middle of the
week.
