National Weather Service State College PA
1040 AM EDT Wed Aug 14 2024

The sun may be dimmed slightly this afternoon from forest fire
smoke aloft. Otherwise, a few cumulus clouds will develop this
afternoon and a stray afternoon shower is possible across far
northeastern Pennsylvania. High temperatures will range from the
70s across the higher elevations of the Allegheny Plateau to the
mid 80s across the southeastern piedmont.

Thursday will be a near repeat of Wednesday, albeit slightly
warmer. Looking ahead to Friday, clouds will be on the increase
with scattered showers and storms developing from west to east
through the afternoon. An unsettled and stormy weekend is in
store.
