Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
546 AM EDT Wed Jul 17 2024

A cold front marching east across the state this afternoon and
early this evening will spark the development of numerous showers
and thunderstorms over Central Pennsylvania and the Susquehanna
Valley and perhaps even one or two lines of strong to severe
thunderstorms forming just ahead of the frontal boundary.

High temperatures today will range from the mid 70s in the
northwest to the mid and upper 90s near Philadelphia. The heat and
humidity will again combine to make it feel like over 100 degrees
across southeastern Pennsylvania Wednesday afternoon.

Slightly cooler but dry weather with much lower humidity will
arrive for Thursday and Friday with highs in the 70s and 80s.
The nights ahead will be noticeably more comfortable, with lows
in the 50s to low 60s beginning Thursday night.
