...PRECIPITATION AMOUNT FOR APRIL 17 2024 CHANGED AT ALTOONA...

Recent quality control performed on the precipitation amounts
recorded at Altoona Blair County Airport (KAOO) has resulted in a
change to the daily precipitation value for the 17th of April.

The new value is 0.46 inches of rainfall instead of 0.03 inches.

This change has also resulted in changes to the April monthly,
Spring seasonal and 2024 yearly precipitation totals and
departures from normal.

Sporadic communications outages that day likely resulted in the
incorrect value being calculated and reported.
