...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EFFINGHAM AND JASPER COUNTIES
UNTIL 945 PM EDT...

At 917 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Springfield, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Springfield, Rincon, Guyton, Stillwell, Ebenezer, Clyo, Pineora,
  Marlow, Tillman and Tarboro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Excessive cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
