Thunderstorm potential is reduced today, but eastern zones and the mountains should see isolated showers (and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder) from late morning to early evening. After today, we transition to building high pressure aloft and a warming/drying trend. Look for temps into the 90s by Tuesday and near 100 degrees by Thursday. Afternoon humidities are expected to drop to the teens beginning midweek. By the end of the week we expect an increase in monsoon moisture and potential for high-based thunderstorms.
