...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL ULSTER AND
SOUTHWESTERN GREENE COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM EDT...

At 246 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Prattsville to near Roxbury to near
Fleischmanns. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Prattsville, Shandaken, Ashland, Jewett, Lexington, West Settlement,
Jewett Center, Mosquito Point, North Lexington, Spruceton, West Kill,
Allaben, Four Corners, West Jewett, Pine Hill, Halcott Center, Red
Falls, Highmount, and Bushnellsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
east central New York.
