.DISCUSSION...

A mix of sun and clouds can be expected the next few days. There
will be increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms each day
through the weekend. The strongest storms during the next few days
are expected this afternoon across parts of central South Dakota.
The weekend storms will be mainly confined to the afternoon hours
and remain sub severe. Warm and humid conditions will be the theme
with daytime highs in the low to mid 80s the next few days.
Afternoon relative humidity values will bottom out in the mid to
upper 40s across the northern and central sections of South Dakota
and parts of west central Minnesota.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Saturday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
