.DISCUSSION...
A calm start in the morning will give way to afternoon showers and
thunderstorms developing over the surrounding mountain ranges.
Storm development is expected to begin over the nearby Jemez and
Tusas Mountain ranges by 2pm MDT, with impacts in the form gusty
and erratic winds reaching the fire location by 3pm to 4pm. Any
direct impacts from a shower or storm producing lightning and
locally heavy rainfall will favor the 4pm to 8pm timeframe.
Precipitation chances wane overnight. Daily rounds of afternoon
showers and thunderstorms will continue through the weekend.
