Subject: Re-commencement of Operational Test and Evaluation
(OT&E) for the Replacement Temperature and Dewpoint Sensor for
the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) during July 2024

The National Weather Service (NWS) is upgrading the air and dewpoint
temperature sensors on the Automated Surface Observing
System (ASOS).The Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of
the new sensor will begin during July 2024 and end during
October 2024.  The sites participating in the operational test
are:
