At 142 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally northwest
of a line from Hugo to Fayetteville. Thunderstorms with locally
heavy rain were located in Pawnee, Okfuskee and Osage counties in
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to
the southeast at around 15 mph. The average amount where it rained
last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum
amounts of two to two and a half inches. Coverage, and intensity
increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late
tonight, mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms likely with
temperatures 70 to 74 degrees and east winds up to 5 mph.
