At 228 AM, National Weather Service radar detected isolated showers
and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly north of I44 and also
south of I44 and east of the Muskogee Turnpike. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Mayes, Delaware and Ottawa
counties in Oklahoma. Movement was to the east at around 15 mph. The
average amount where it rained last hour was around one tenth of an
inch with maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half.
Coverage, and intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa
area forecast for late tonight and into this morning, cloudy,
showers and thunderstorms likely with temperatures 68 to 72 degrees
and north winds up to 5 mph.
