At 142 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly south of I44
in eastern Oklahoma. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were
located in Pittsburg, Muskogee and Mcintosh counties in Oklahoma.
The precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to the
northeast at around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of
an inch to an inch and a half. Intensity decreased during the last
hour. The Tulsa area forecast for this afternoon, mostly cloudy,
showers and thunderstorms likely with temperatures 81 to 89 degrees
and south winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the east.
