At 1128 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly west of a
Bartlesville to McAlester line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy
rain were located in Tulsa, Creek and Okfuskee counties in Oklahoma.
Movement was to the northeast at around 15 mph. The average amount
where it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch with
maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half. Coverage and
intensity remained about the same as last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late this morning and early this afternoon, mostly
cloudy, showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms with
temperatures 82 to 89 degrees and south winds 5 to 10 mph.
