.DISCUSSION...Hot temperatures under clear skies will persist over the
Narrows with no threat of thunderstorms or flash flooding
expected over the next 24 hours. Temperatures around the visitor
center will push into the upper-100s this afternoon, with
temperatures in the Narrows being 10-20 degrees cooler (dependent
on shading). Overnight temperatures near the Visitor Center will
only drop to around 70 degrees. Winds will prevail out of a
northerly direction, with gusts around 15 mph on higher exposure
portions of the Narrows (i.e. where the drainage aligns with wind
direction). Heat continues tomorrow, with temperatures rising by
about a degree.
