...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Heat Advisory.

Temperatures in the middle 90s with dew points in the mid to upper
70s will result in heat indices in excess of 105 degrees this
afternoon. Please continue to take necessary heat illness
precautions, including but not limited to wearing loose-fitting,
light-colored clothing, drinking plenty of water, and limiting
outdoor exposure as much as possible, with frequent breaks in shaded
or air-conditioned spaces.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across much of the area today
as a cold front moves across the region. While the overall risk of
severe weather is low, one or two isolated severe storms could pose a
risk for damaging winds this afternoon. Rain chances should slowly
diminish from north to south this evening, but thunderstorms will
remain possible overnight, mainly south of Interstate 20.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible Saturday and Sunday, mainly
along and south of Interstate 20. More widespread chances for
thunderstorms are expected areawide Monday through Thursday as
another cold front moves into the region and interacts with the
remnants of Hurricane Beryl.

Oklahoma and northeast Texas.

as a cold front moves across the region. While the overall risk of
