Surface high pressure is currently over us bringing pleasant
weather to end the work week. High temperatures in the short
term period will be in the low to mid 80s with mostly to partly
sunny skies. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s to lower
60s tonight with clear skies and light east- northeasterly
winds. As for Saturday night, moisture returns as a mid- level
trough begins to move over the Midwest. Winds turn southerly and
lows will be a bit warmer in the mid to upper 60s as clouds
build in.

.LONG TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...

Rain chances return early Sunday morning, particularly for locations
west of Highway 65. SPC currently has most of the area in a
General Thunder risk for Sunday. Not expecting severe weather at
this time due to lack of deep-layer shear and large-scale
ascent.

Multiple shortwaves will traverse around the base of the
trough leading to an active start to next week. Rain chances
are between 30 to 50 percent Sunday through Wednesday with the
highest chances of rain occurring in the afternoon hours with
brief breaks in precipitation throughout each day. Though,
high/low temperatures still remain a few degrees below normal
through mid- week.
