Ridge of high pressure center moves into the region today into the weekend and gradually shifts east into Great Basin into mid-week next week bring hot temperatures and dry conditions. Hot temperatures today into the weekend with max temperatures generally running 5 to 25 degrees above normal, with the highest over Nrn CA. A little cooling over CA mid-week with weak onshore flow, especially along the CA coast, with max temperatures near normal to around 15 degrees above normal. Overnight temperatures will be around 5 to 25 degrees above normal this weekend. Some Near record to record high maximum temperatures and high minimum temperatures are expected this weekend and possibly into mid-week.
