Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 532 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes areas mainly north and west of Jefferson NC. Watch for sudden rises on area creeks and streams. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area.
