...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Illinois, including the following
  counties, Franklin, Jackson and Perry.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 234 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing
    urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    West Frankfort, Benton, Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Christopher,
    Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Zeigler, Royalton, Elkville, Valier,
    West City, Ava, Willisville, Thompsonville, North City,
    Buckner, Cutler, Dowell and Orient.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
