New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A weak surface trough near the
coast tonight will gradually diminish through Sat as a weak ridge
persists across the southern waters and a front remains nearly
stationary S of the waters. A cold front will move into the area
from the N Sun, with the front moving back N Sun night and Mon as
a weak warm front with high pressure building in behind it. High
pressure remains Mon night, and moves E Tues as another warm
front approaches from the S. The warm front slowly moves N across
much of the area Tue night through Wed night, with weak low
pressure centers moving NE and E along the front.
