New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A weak surface trough near the
coast will persist today and gradually diminish through tonight
as a weak ridge over the southern areas moves E of the waters
this afternoon and a stationary front remains S of the area. A
cold front will move slowly into the area from the N Sun, with
the front stalling over the southern areas Sun night into Mon.
Weak high pressure will move in behind the front Mon. The weak
high pressure remains through Mon night, then moves E Tue as a
warm front approaches from the S. The warm front slowly moves N
across much of the area Tue night through Wed night, with weak
low pressure areas moving NE and E along the front.

3 to 4 ft.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
