...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SEQUATCHIE...NORTHEASTERN MARION
AND SOUTHWESTERN HAMILTON COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT/415 PM CDT/...

At 427 PM EDT/327 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of
strong thunderstorms near Whitwell, or 12 miles northeast of Jasper,
moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chattanooga, Dunlap, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Walden, Whitwell,
Ridgeside, Fairmount, Red Bank, and Powells Crossroads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
