...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN SULLIVAN...
NORTHEASTERN HAWKINS AND SOUTH CENTRAL SCOTT COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM
EDT...

At 224 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Surgoinsville, or 12 miles northeast of Rogersville, moving east at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Kingsport, Gate City, Surgoinsville, Weber City, Church Hill, Mount
Carmel, Okolona, and Bloomingdale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
southwestern Virginia.
