WESTERN KNOX...CENTRAL MCMINN...NORTHWESTERN MONROE AND EASTERN ROANE
COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM EDT...

At 1227 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Oliver Springs to 8 miles northwest of
Charleston. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Athens, Clinton, Lenoir City, Kingston,
Sweetwater, Loudon, Madisonville, and Farragut.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
