...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN SULLIVAN AND
NORTHEASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM EDT...

At 143 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Colonial Heights, or near Kingsport, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Gray, Oak Grove, Spurgeon,
Colonial Heights, Bluff City, Tri-City Airport, and Blountville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
southwestern Virginia.
