943 FZUS63 KMQT 080759 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 359 AM EDT Mon Jul 8 2024 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A weak 29.9 inch low pressure trough over Minnesota will dissipate as it moves over Lake Superior during today. On Tuesday, a weak high pressure of 29.9 inches will set up over Lake Superior. The high will build to 30.1 inches on Wednesday, and then on Thursday, 30.1 inch ridging will extend from central Quebec across Lake Superior into the Upper Mississippi Valley.
