...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN ST.
TAMMANY PARISH IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHERN HANCOCK
COUNTY IN MISSISSIPPI THROUGH 700 PM CDT...

At 622 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Shoreline Park to near
Lacombe. Movement was northeast at 5 TO 10 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph, lightning and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Slidell, Waveland, Pearl River, Pearlington, Lacombe, Shoreline Park,
and Slidell Airport.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 264 and 273.
 Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 9.
 Interstate 12 between mile markers 69 and 84.
 Interstate 59 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 6.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms and may lead to
ponding of water in low lying and poor drainage areas as well as
localized street flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Heavy rain can also reduce visibility along area roadways, including
portions of Interstates 10, 12, and 59. Motorists in the area
should use extra caution and be prepared for sudden changes in
visibility.
