TERREBONNE, IBERVILLE, WESTERN LAFOURCHE, SOUTH CENTRAL EAST BATON
ROUGE AND ASSUMPTION PARISHES THROUGH 800 PM CDT

At 733 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms capable of producing funnel clouds along a line
extending from near Bayou Sorrel to 19 miles south of Amelia.
Movement was north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Funnel clouds and winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...If a funnel cloud briefly touches down, minor damage to
         outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down
         tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Donaldsonville, Plaquemine, Napoleonville, St.
Gabriel, Addis, Brusly, White Castle, Rosedale, Grosse Tete,
Paincourtville, Geismar, Supreme, Ramah, Bayou Sorrel, Labadieville,
Carville, Belle Rose, and Gardere.

This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 131 and
146, and between mile markers 173 and 180.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
